Committees
SDMEA relies on committees to perform the association's more important work on legislative activities, communications, training, and event planning. SDMEA appreciates the individuals currently serving as committee members and would like to invite any interested members to volunteer.
Legislative Committee
The legislative committee tracks legislative activity to build effective lobbying and communication strategies. It also develops marketing and promotional plans that increase the visibility of the South Dakota Municipal Electric Association and its members.

Operations & Conference Committee
The operation and conference committee drives safety and education by planning and hosting the annual Superintendent/Foreman Conference. Year-round, it keeps the SDMEA board and member communities informed about critical safety topics, operational updates, and changing regulations to ensure safe, compliant local utilities.
